HUDSON, Fla. (WFLA) — Several comfort stations opened Sunday morning for neighbors in Pasco County impacted by Hurricane Helene. Neighbors impacted by the storm can use the stations to cool off in A/C, charge their electronics, shower, and do laundry. City and county officials ask residents to bring supplies for showers and laundry.

Gov. Ron DeSantis will hold a news conference Sunday morning to discuss the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Pasco County schools announced they will offer classes on Wednesday as scheduled, but then cancel after-school events and activities as the district prepares at least five campuses to serve as emergency shelters for Tropical Storm Helene.

County officials asked people who live outside the boundaries of the evacuation order to also consider evacuating or moving into one of the county's six shelters.
