Rountree (13-6 MMA, 9-6 UFC) proved to be a more than worthy opponent for light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira (12-2 MMA, 9-1 UFC) in Saturday’s main event in Salt Lake City, but he was ultimately overwhelmed and finished in Round 4.

Dana White recently took to social media with a post that’s got fight fans buzzing. The subject was Rountree’s face after his brutal bout at UFC 307. ‘ The War Horse ’ had stepped into the octagon against Pereira. It was a clash of striking titans with fans on the edge of their seats. Rountree gave it his all, but Pereira’s skill proved too much.
