T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav confirmed India's openers for the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh and explained the new role of Sanju Samson.

India will commence their T20I assignment against Bangladesh on Sunday (October 6) as the two teams square off in the first of the three-match series in Gwalior.

Sanju Samson is set to take on a pivotal role as both opener and wicketkeeper for India in the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh.

India and Bangladesh will lock horns with each other in the three-match T20I series. India will start the series with the first match at Gwalior on October 6 followed by two more matches – October 9 (Delhi) and October 12 (Hyderabad).
