North Carolina plummeted to the absolute rock bottom of Mack Brown's tenure with Saturday afternoon's 70-50 loss, at home, to James Madison. This after the Tar Heels (3-1) entered as 10.5-point favorites against the Sun Belt Conference school that lost its coach and a majority of its impact starters in the offseason.

James Madison rolled into Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill on Saturday and hung 53 points on North Carolina after the first half to go on to win in dominant fashion, 70-50. Though, clearly defense was lacking on both sides.

While the North Carolina Tar Heels did have a perfect record through their first three games, the bottom fell out of the wet paper bag in the worst way possible. North Carolina got all of its teeth kicked in during the first half of its Week 4 home game vs.

Brown told ESPN that he had no plans of walking away just yet. He's believed to have calmed down in the minutes and hours after his outburst. Sources told Inside Carolina that he tends to take losses harder than most. "I'm not resigning. I'll be back at work Monday," Brown said.
